To lead the way, CrossAngle is building various services in the ecosystem based on on-chain data, and bridging the strong traditional players and the world of Web 3.0 as they explore expansion into the new industry and territory.

The Role

As a BD Manager, Japan, your role will focus on driving partnerships across verticals in the blockchain industry, with a specific focus on Japan. Your key activities will include, but not limited to, creating new relationships with prospective partners from both Web2 and Web3 domains, creating and negotiating commercial agreements, nurturing relationships, and expanding existing relationships with Xangle partners in Japan or the APAC region. You will secure new business opportunity leads, identify and evaluate new business opportunities, forge and manage partnerships, and/or leverage your industry connections to engage with potential partners in Japan or the APAC region. To successfully execute these activities, you’ll coordinate internally with the Conference, Research, Marketing, Data Analytics, PR, and Dev Teams. Given the rapid growth of both the industry and our company, this position will play a key role in determining our position within the industry and shaping the strategy to achieve our goals in Japan.

Responsibilities

Understand unique needs of new or existing partners such as blockchain foundations and large corporations
Drive exploratory discussions on potential partners
Collaborate, develop, and oversee commercial agreements with partners
Manage relationships with existing partners providing continuous communication, data, documentation, and assistance
Coordinate internal cross-functional opportunities and collaborate with analytics, research, marketing, dev, PR, or conference teams
Creatively determine and build new forms of partnerships and business agreements
Attend notable domestic and foreign blockchain events to explore potential partners
Lead planning a blockchain networking event inviting potential partners
Support the growth of Xangle’s leadership position and reputation as a web3 data & intelligence infrastructural solution and service provider
Provide translation assistance for KR-JP or EN-JP as needed, and offer interpretation during HQ staff’s trips to Japan

Key Qualifications

Passion for Web3 & blockchain industry
Ability to understand new industries deeply and quickly
Creative problem-solving mindset and ability
Critical and analytical thinking ability
Experience or deep intuition on collaborative partnerships
Excellent communication skills
Growth mindset
Fluent in Japanese – written & verbal
Fluent in Korean or English – written & verbal

Preferred qualifications

2-8 years in business development, account manager, and/or startup founder
Startup experience
SaaS business experience
Experience in and pre-existing knowledge of blockchain and Web3 concepts
Experience with concluding commercial agreements from A to Z
Fluent in all three languages

Employment Conditions

Primarily remote work, but you’re required to participate in local client meetings when asked.
Flexible working hours start from 08:00 to 10:00, with an 8-hour workday plus a 1-hour lunch break
Holidays are governed by Japanese labor standards law

Notes for Employment

For all positions excluding interns, there is a probationary period of 3 months.
During the probationary period, salary and benefits will be provided without differentiation.
Crossangle currently does not have a local corporation in Japan, so to recruit team members to work in Japan, contracts will need to be arranged through an agency. The contract will specify Crossangle as the employer, and the position will be described as Business Development. Detailed explanations will be provided regarding this matter once the contract process commences.
